About GS Pay Grid
Radif Partners rebuilds the 2026 General Schedule from the OPM salary tables, their XML data and the locality pay area definitions, county by county, and computes the FERS annuity from 5 U.S.C. 8412 to 8462: minimum retirement age by year of birth, the 1 % and 1.1 % multipliers, MRA+10 reductions, the supplement and its earnings test, survivor elections and the FERS COLA. Every one of the 8,700 cells of the 58 locality tables is checked against the OPM file before each release. We sell no product, take no appointment and ask for no e-mail.
Why this site exists
A federal employee who wants a simple answer, what will I earn at this grade in this county, and what will I get when I retire, usually ends up with two kinds of pages. Pay charts reprint the OPM tables as images or PDFs and leave you to find your locality area among 58 names. Retirement calculators run by financial firms ask for a name and an e-mail, compute the basic annuity, and invite you to book a review for the rest. Some still print last year's figures, or a 0 % raise for 2026 when the actual raise was 1 %.
This site does better than the first Google result because it gives, without an e-mail or an appointment, the exact 2026 pay of any grade, step and county (all 8,700 cells of the OPM tables reproduced to the dollar, with the 1 % raise, the frozen localities, the $197,200 cap and table 001M) and, on the same site, the complete FERS pension that most calculators leave half done: the minimum retirement age in years and months, the supplement with the $24,480 earnings test, the survivor election, the FERS COLA, deferred and postponed annuities, and a 2027 scenario clearly marked as a proposal.
Who publishes it
The site is published by Radif Partners, a company that builds calculators on public rules. It is not a government agency and is not affiliated with the Office of Personnel Management, any federal agency, union, employee association or financial firm. It is not a financial adviser, sells no product, takes no commission and has no partner to send you to. Pages carry no affiliate link and no advertising.

What we rely on
For pay: OPM's 2026 General Schedule tables in their XML form (opm.gov), the 2026 locality pay area definitions, special rate table 001M, Executive Order 14368 and the Executive Schedule. For careers: 5 CFR part 531 on step increases and promotions, and the October 2026 final rule on time in grade. For retirement: chapter 84 of title 5 of the U.S. Code (sections 8412 to 8462), OPM's FERS computation pages and the CSRS and FERS Handbook, the Social Security Administration's 2026 determinations for the earnings test and the benefit formula, and IRS limits for the TSP.
What the site leaves out
Pay systems other than the General Schedule (Federal Wage System, SES, agency pay bands), occupational special rate tables beyond 001M, CSRS and CSRS Offset annuities, disability retirement, military service deposits and the computation of a part-time career are not modeled. Social Security is estimated only as far as the FERS supplement needs it. The method page lists every formula, test and limit; the editorial policy explains how corrections are made.
